keep your heads up, the morning will come.

i know ' u already have the news and this may look a bit like am behind the news but its important that i just say it through this write up to affirm my support for the affected.Have you ever been in a situation you never thought 'u will survive? ever wondered why it's only me/us that have to suffer as opposed to them? Have 'u ever imagined if 'u woke one morning and found your whole family is not there yet 'u spoke with them just the previous day? Where are you supposed to begin? Sometimes the word hope may seem a mirage in our very lives we toil to make. The term is supposed to keep us believing that whatever we do now will help us/offspring's tomorrow or 'this' unfavourable situation now will soon be a bad memory we shall soon make a bad joke abt, tomorrow. But what if the situation threatens our very existence of tomorrow to a point we can't think of the next hour? and the next neighbour has everything you need but won't give you?

This year on Jan. the 12th, an earthquake of 7.0 on ricther scale hit the Haitian Island in the Carribean sea. This was a devastating moment for the world and more so for the Haitians. Moments like these when there seem to be no light at the end of the tunnel or when the light that appeared at the end of the tunnel is suddenly blocked by forces beyond our control, we fall victims of negative energies where evil sets in and we can no longer use our sane brain. This quake is said to have destroyed the very foundation of the Haitian livelihoods that they have over the years spend building and naturing which means as I write this, hope has no place in their hearts and therefore they live second after the other. The rational brain is non functional. . we may not be able to give anything but our prayers will surely reach to God our almighty who provides.

several explanations have been put forward so far as to why the quake happened in Haiti and one of them is that God is punishing them for the evil they have since like 200 years ago. Pat Robertson said that "the earthquake in Haiti was God punishing the Haitians for consorting with the devil". well, this maybe his idea but as far as i am concerned, thats God to judge, we all make mistakes and if we were to be punished like this, am sure the whole world will be in shambles. others say that it's the fault of the super powers(USA,France and England), who used the Haitians as slavery tools but did not help them build infrastructure. France claimed a total of 90 million francs from Haiti in exchange for lost property, which included slaves themselves to recognise Haiti as an independent nation. Haiti took loans to pay and in return spend 122yrs repaying that debt. These are reasons given to support the poor state of the Haitians who cannot afford means of rescuing those in trouble and probably giving them humanitarian aid.

such hard times as individuals, groups or as a nation need support and reassurance that help will be availed. Let us all stand in support with the Haitians during this hard time when they need us most and hopefully help them save lives and restore those that are threatened before embarking on long term journey to rebuild it. After a long night, there's always a brighter day to look forward to.
